Jewish customs and Holiday Ideas

Judaism is a monotheistic religion meaning a belief in one God. The main text is the Torah which includes the Five Books of Moses.

Judaism is complex and is essentially a way of life. We will be exploring the various facets through our articles to both learn and educate others. We are not scholars, but we welcome scholarly input. We are inclusive, so we approach this from all levels of observance from secular, cultural, reform, reconstructionist, modern orthodox, Sephardic, Orthodox, Chabad, etc. We believe we come from a single thread and encourage the experience of Judaism in all its many flavors and colors.

We will provide a calendar of holidays and articles about customs. Check back often. We would love to hear from you about your family customs and how you celebrate the tapestry of Judaism.
